Accessibility Champions Program

Accessibility Leadership Peer Learning

Challenge

As accessibility efforts expanded, it became clear that sustainable adoption would require more than centralized support. Teams needed local advocates who could answer questions, reinforce best practices, and help accessibility become part of everyday work.

The goal was to build capability across the organization rather than concentrating expertise in a single role.

Approach

I developed an Accessibility Champions Program that provided interested designers with additional coaching, resources, and opportunities to support their peers.

Champions served as local accessibility advocates, helping teams identify issues, answer common questions, and promote stronger accessibility practices throughout the design process.
